- A ‘favicon’ generator, for the icon which shows in browser tabs and bookmarks
- eCommerce (free for the core software) but needs investment to be fully used
- A file and folder manager for your images and documents in the media library

Hosting for your free website
The only thing we ask is that you open a hosting account at Cloudways and buy your own server. We will provide a link to click which means we get a small credit once you open the account. A hosting account for a basic website costs $11 or £8.11 per month.

Unlike some hosting companies, you get to serve unlimited visits, and there’s a free trial to get you started. We will advise you through the process and get you setup.

- Assist you in opening a hosting account and create your first WordPress installation
- Connect your domain name to the site
- Install a free and perpetual SSL certificate
- Provide a copy of our beginners website template filled with useful software and tools
- Create or customise the basic site pages
- Apply your chosen colour scheme and fonts. (We can provide advice on these or provide paid help)
- Teach you how to add to or modify the site
- Explain the need for regular site updates and maintenance and one way of doing this safely and cheaply
- Check your site for speed and advise ways to avoid a slow site
What you do
- Bring your ideas on what the site needs to contain, including all the text, images and documents
- Choose a colour palette and fonts, try these sites:
